August 22: Hope and Unity Rally
August 2, 2011

Note date has been changed from Aug 15 to Aug 22!
The Hope & Unity Rally will unite all Georgians that have been damaged by a lack of leadership from our state government. Education has been cut by over $4 billion, human rights have been compromised, unions are under attack and equality for all has been threatened.
Are you ready to unite? This event will be a positive and uplifting one that will show lawmakers in the Capitol that their policies affect us- working Georgians- every single day of our lives.
More information at www.hopeandunityrally.com.
On Monday, August 15 at 9am, the Democratic Party of Georgia will be partnering with several affiliate organizations for the Hope & Unity Rally at the Georgia Capitol. This call-to-action will unite Georgians that have been sidelined by our state’s republican legislation: policies that are against public education, against workers and anti-middle class. It’s imperative to have a good turnout for this event.
I am asking each of you- committed members to our Democratic ideals- to do your part in pushing this event through emails and Facebook. We hope for your attendance, but just as importantly, we hope for your promotional help.
The website for our event is www.HopeAndUnityRally.com.
I ask for the following.
- Please forward this website to your County Committees, friends and family, and encourage them to circulate amongst their friends and personal networks.
- If you are on Facebook, please post the link on your Facebook wall.
The DPG will do additional promotion of the Hope & Unity Rally, but much of it begins with a strong showing on Facebook and other social networks.
If you have any questions or suggestions on how to promote this event through free or low-cost means, please reach out to our Communications Director, Eric Gray.
Thanks for all that you do,
Democratic Party of Georgia
