Columbia County Democrats help sponsor The 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Carnival
The Columbia County Democratic Party is a sponsor for the 2013 DOG DAYS OF SUMMER CARNIVAL. The carnival event, hosted by the City of Grovetown, aims to bring the community together. Carnival attractions will include local animal shelters bringing adoptable animals, live entertainment, inflatable bounce houses, water slides, carnival rides, raffle prizes, food, drink and much more.
Columbia County Democrats will sponsor a booth giving away “Back –to-School Supplies” for students in grades 1-8. Our sponsorship and participation with the Grovetown Community is held in lieu of Our Annual Back-to-School Jam. We are very excited about this partnership with the City of Grovetown, and we expect a large turnout at our booth.
Additionally, as a part of our civic responsibility to Columbia County, our party will sponsor a Voter Registration Drive and a Membership Campaign. We cordially invite all members and supporters of the party to join us in this partnership with the City of Grovetown.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Liberty Park Community Center, 1040 Newmantown Road, Grovetown, GA 30813. Times: Dog Days of Summer Carnival – 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Booth set up time will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the day of the carnival. We need volunteers to help set-up the booth and to work in the booth during the event. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
“Back-to-School” give-away items and/or monetary donations (checks) will be collected on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Government Complex Auditorium, Bld. “A”, 630 Ronald Reagan Drive, Evans, GA 30809. We need volunteers on August 1st to help collect the supplies and donations and to bag the items for the carnival on Saturday.
Please help us make this sponsorship another successful COLUMBIA COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY event! We need volunteers, and we need back-to-school supplies. The school supply list includes: pens, pencils, crayons, three-ring binders and filler paper, notebooks, folders, or any items that can be used by students in grades 1-8. If you do not have time to purchase supplies, please make a $10 donation (check) and we will purchase the supplies. Make all checks payable to Columbia County Democratic Party and mail to P. O. Box 2934, Evans, GA 30809. Attention: V. C. Pennamon
